ALKE-BLACK Refund Policy
Version 1.0 — Aligned with South African Consumer Protection Act
This Refund Policy explains when refunds or returns may be approved on ALKE-BLACK.
It applies to all purchases made through the platform.
1) Marketplace Context
ALKE-BLACK is a curated marketplace connecting Buyers with independent Sellers.
While ALKE-BLACK facilitates transactions, individual Sellers are responsible
for the products they sell. Refunds and returns are managed according to this
policy and applicable law.
2) Eligible Reasons for Refund or Return
A refund or return may be approved if:
- The item received is damaged.
- The item received is defective.
- The item received is incorrect (wrong product).
- The item does not reasonably match the description or images provided.
3) Non-Refundable Situations
The following situations do not qualify for a refund or return,
unless required by law:
- Change of mind.
- Size, fit, or colour preference dissatisfaction.
- Normal wear and tear after use.
- Damage caused by misuse or improper handling.
- Failure to provide accurate delivery information.
4) Timeframe to Request a Refund
Buyers must submit a refund or return request within
7 days of receiving the item.
Requests submitted outside this period may be declined.
5) Condition of Returned Items
- Items must be returned in original condition where applicable.
- Items must not be worn, altered, or washed.
- Original packaging should be included where possible.
6) Return Process
- Buyers must contact ALKE-BLACK via the Contact & Support page.
- Supporting evidence may be required (photos, descriptions).
- ALKE-BLACK will coordinate with the Seller to assess the request.
- Returns must be authorised before sending items back.
7) Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method
where possible. Refund processing times may vary depending on
payment provider and verification requirements.
- Shipping fees may be non-refundable unless the return is due to Seller error.
- Partial refunds may apply in certain cases.
8) Courier & Delivery Issues
ALKE-BLACK is not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers.
However, issues such as lost or damaged parcels may be investigated
in coordination with the courier and Seller.
9) Seller Cooperation
- Sellers are required to cooperate with refund investigations.
- Repeated refund-related issues may affect seller status.
10) Abuse & Fraud Prevention
ALKE-BLACK reserves the right to refuse refunds where abuse,
fraud, or manipulation is suspected. Accounts may be restricted
to protect platform integrity.
11) Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights provided under the
South African Consumer Protection Act.
12) Policy Updates
ALKE-BLACK may update this Refund Policy from time to time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
