This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how delivery works on ALKE-BLACK,
including courier coordination, timelines, and responsibilities.
1) Delivery Coverage
ALKE-BLACK currently supports local delivery within South Africa.
International shipping may be introduced in future phases.
2) Marketplace Delivery Model
ALKE-BLACK is a curated marketplace. Products are shipped from independent Sellers
using third-party courier services coordinated through the platform.
ALKE-BLACK does not operate its own courier fleet.
3) Delivery Fees
- Delivery fees are calculated dynamically based on location, parcel details, and courier rates.
- Delivery fees are displayed during checkout before payment.
- Fees may vary per item or per Seller, depending on order composition.
4) Order Confirmation & Courier Booking
Courier booking occurs only after successful payment confirmation.
Orders are not shipped until payment has been verified.
- Once payment is confirmed, ALKE-BLACK coordinates courier booking.
- Tracking details are provided once available.
5) Seller Pickup Readiness
- Sellers are responsible for preparing orders for pickup on time.
- Pickup availability depends on the Seller’s provided location and readiness.
- Failure to prepare orders may result in delays or order cancellation.
6) Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times are provided by courier partners and are
not guarantees. Factors that may affect delivery include:
- Courier operational capacity
- Weather or regional disruptions
- Remote or hard-to-access delivery areas
7) Tracking & Notifications
- Buyers may receive tracking updates via email or platform notifications.
- Tracking information is provided by third-party courier services.
8) Failed or Delayed Deliveries
ALKE-BLACK is not responsible for courier delays beyond reasonable control.
However, delivery issues may be investigated in coordination with the courier and Seller.
- Failed delivery attempts due to incorrect buyer information may incur additional costs.
- Unclaimed or returned parcels may result in re-delivery or cancellation.
9) Damaged or Lost Parcels
- Damage or loss must be reported promptly after delivery.
- Investigations may involve the courier and Seller.
- Resolution is subject to courier policies and evidence provided.
10) Delivery Address Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery details.
ALKE-BLACK is not liable for delivery failures caused by incorrect information.
11) Changes & Cancellations
- Address changes after order confirmation may not be possible.
- Orders may be cancelled if courier booking fails or operational issues arise.
12) Policy Updates
ALKE-BLACK may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy from time to time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
